Executive Director


Adult Resource Alliance of Yellowstone County seeks an Executive Director (ED) for our Billings office.  The ED is responsible to ensure the overall viability of the organization, including budgeting and reporting, strategic planning, organization structure, supervision and management, resolution of complex issues involving program funding and community needs, as well as meeting multiple deadlines will be a part of the job.

 

The ED will be the “face” of the organization externally, working to develop and maintain positive relationships with community members, elected officials, funders and supporters.  This person will work closely with other area non-profits.

 

Internally, the ED will lead the organizational management team in staff utilization, performance management, and creation and support of an environment of positive working relationships, cooperation and teamwork.

 

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Human Services or related area, plus 10 years work experience in the field (at least 5 years in a management role), or equivalent.  He/she will have a genuine interest in working with the elderly, have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external co-workers.  Public relations and personnel management experience is a must, along with the ability to work under pressure.  Must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.  The position is subject to a background check.

Human Resources Manager – Part Time

Senior Nutrition Program Assistant – FT 


 

Responsibilities:


* Under general direction, performs a variety of duties toward supervising and coordinating meal services.  Light office work. Computer experience essential.  Requires individual judgment within established standards and procedures.
* Oversight of food service at Senior Meal Sites in Billings, Laurel, Worden, and Custer.  Huntley and Shepherd under the direction of the Nutrition Program Director.
* Works closely with all nutrition program staff
* Works within established quality, sanitary and procedural standards for food storage, meal preparation and distribution
* Ensures meal services meets or exceeds Serv Safe guidelines
* Assist with planning special dinners, including participation lists, entertainments, and ordering supplies
* Works with Activities Manager to schedule and coordinate educational speakers at sites
* Works well under pressure, meets multiple and sometimes competing deadlines
* Excellent written and oral skills essential
* Complete routine statistical operational records, tabulations, reports and time records as well as summaries of income and expenses from meal sites

 

Experience:


* 4 years food preparation field: (preferred)
* 2 years supervisory: (preferred)

 

 

Office Assistant / Transportation Coordinator – Part Time / Monday-Friday
(8:00 am-1:00 pm)


 

Responsibilities:

 

* Assist the Transportation Manager with scheduling rides for certified participants of the Transportation Program in the Greater Billings area.

* Backup for Alliance’s main phone line

* Assisting with the mailing process for Alliance’s monthly Senior News publication.

* Able to lift 25 lbs. and physically able to handle Senior News bulk mailing project.

* Give attention to detail, organization, time management, ability to multi-task and work independently in addition to being a team player.

* Professionalism, patience, good listening and communication skills are also essential.  Friendly and supportive work environment.

 

Experience:

 

* Work with senior volunteers.  Some experience with volunteers is desirable.

* Computer experience is necessary to include Excel skills

* Valid Montana Driver’s License and appropriate insurance required.

* Pass a national security background check.

* Starting wage: $11.00/ hour with wage review after a successful 6-month probationary period.

Food Assistant in Worden, Huntley, and Shepherd areas
Part Time – 15 to 18 hours weekly


 

Responsibilities:

 

* This position entails helping set up for noontime meals at each location in Worden, Huntley, and Shepherd during the week.
* Setting tables, receiving food from vendors, taking food temperatures, and cleanup
